About The Position

The Bleeding and Clotting Disorders Institute (BCDI) is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join their medical care team. BCDI Pharmacy is a closed door pharmacy serving patients seen by BCDI providers. The Pharmacy Technician will perform technical and clerical tasks related to the enrollment, preparation, labeling, dispensing, and fulfillment of specialty medications. The role involves assisting with patient intake, outreach, and coordination, utilizing specialty pharmacy and infusion software, managing inventory, handling pharmacy insurance billing, and calculating patient-specific doses. Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Illinois
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficient in the use of specialized pharmacy software
• Able to work independently with exceptional attention to detail
• Customer focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be dependable, energetic and highly motivated

Nice To Haves

• Two years of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or hospital setting
• Experience with insurance verifications and prior authorization requests
• Specialty pharmacy experience
• Sterile compounding training
