CVS Health has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Back-End Dispensing Team in Portland, ME. Our CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy supports patients with complex conditions such as autoimmune diseases, hepatitis, HIV, oncology, and organ transplants. As a member of the back-end dispensing team, you’ll play a critical role in the medication fulfillment process, ensuring prescriptions are processed, packaged, and prepared for delivery with precision and care.

Requirements

• Eligible for pharmacy technician licensure in the state of Maine
• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or insurance-related fields
• One year as a pharmacy technician

Nice To Haves

• Previous pharmacy technician experience, especially in a fulfillment or dispensing role
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with pharmacy systems and technology
• CPHT Certification a plus in states that do not require certification.

Responsibilities

• Accurately fill and label prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy regulations and protocols
• Prepare medications for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and documentation
• Perform quality checks to verify accuracy of filled prescriptions
• Support inventory management, including restocking and tracking medication supplies
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians to maintain workflow efficiency
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
• Assist with data entry and prescription processing as needed
