As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll support our Pharmacists in daily operations — from filling prescriptions to coordinating with providers and insurers — all while delivering the quality care our patients depend on.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee license in state of practice

Nice To Haves

  • One year of customer service experience
  • Previous pharmacy experience

Responsibilities

  • Receives and fills prescription requests for patients and maintains patient records.
  • Provides excellent customer service and assists the Pharmacist in meeting department operational requirements.
  • Retrieves, pours, counts, labels, and reconstitutes prescription medications.
  • Accesses, inputs, and retrieves information through the pharmacy’s computer network to maintain accurate records.
  • Packages and labels products under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
  • Obtains refill authorizations from prescribers.
  • Processes and prepares third-party insurance claims.
  • Coordinates prescriptions with providers, clients, and third parties.
  • Maintains pharmacy inventory.
  • Prepares reports related to sales, usage, and inventory.
  • Maintains and cleans equipment, work areas, and shelves.
  • Follows agency documentation policies for all phases of treatment and client care.
  • Collaborates with internal and external multidisciplinary teams regarding clinical aspects of treatment.
  • Adheres to ethical and legal standards set by licensing boards and state regulations.
  • Participates in ongoing professional development activities to meet licensure, certification, and/or other agency requirements.
