About The Position

Pharmacy Technicians assist Pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and adhering to pharmacy regulations. This role is responsible for following established policies and procedures, receiving, reviewing, sorting, and processing drug and supply orders. Responsibilities include preparing IV admixtures and chemotherapy, filling UD medications, Pyxis, barcoding, and med recon. The position requires good knowledge of computer systems, IV admixing, barcoding, inventory management, and Pyxis. The ability to interview patients to complete Medication Reconciliation is also necessary. Other duties as required. Knowledge of 340B is a plus, as well as prior auth & retail.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• CPhT or Pharm Intern
• Completion of a technician training program or equivalent pharmacy technician hospital work experience
• CPhT certification or Pharm Intern license
• Current Pharmacy Technician registration with the California State Board of Pharmacy
• Minimum of one (1) year hospital pharmacy experience
• Good computer skills
• Good communication skills
• Able to work all shifts, including night shift
