About The Position

This is a contract position for an Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy Technician in Olympia, WA. The role involves assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, processing medication orders using EPIC EMR, preparing and labeling medications, maintaining inventory, supporting compounding activities, delivering medications, performing cart fills, restocking automated dispensing systems, and adhering to hospital policies and safety regulations. The technician will also maintain a clean work area, communicate effectively with healthcare staff, and participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives, supporting daily workflow during evening/night shifts.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work evening/night shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy workflows and medication safety standards.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) – Required

Nice To Haves

• Acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for inpatient use.
• Process medication orders using EPIC EMR.
• Prepare, package, and label medications accurately.

• Support sterile and non-sterile compounding activities.
• Deliver medications to nursing units in a timely manner.

• Communicate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, and healthcare staff.
