Part time Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician at the Central Fulfillment Center is responsible for working in a closed-door, fast-paced pharmacy facility on a production line. They are responsible for filling prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician will work with prescription filling automation technologies and semi-manual/manual workstations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of orders and maintain a continuous and consistent workflow to help meet team goals. The position is based in Irving, TX. We are looking for a part-time pharmacy technician for this schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

- Pharmacy Technician License in Texas.

- Central Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician experience.
- Prefers to work in a closed-door environment (no adjudication, customer interaction, phone work.)
- Good computer skills.
- Good math skills.

Responsibilities
- Follow and promote proper Pharmacy, general safety, and security procedures and processes of the company.
- Use scanning and counting technologies to identify and select appropriate pharmaceutical products and quantities for filling prescription orders.
- Ensuring medication counting devices are continuously replenished.
- Assist with maintaining the pharmacy system and technologies that facilitate proper counting, conveyance, packaging, and shipping of prescriptions.
- Monitoring inventory and supply levels at the responsible stations, calibrating machines, general troubleshooting (jams, blockages) within conveyance, counting, and packaging machines, escalating technical issues, and working as a team to reach team goals.
- Monitoring and maintaining uptime of automated counting, collating, packaging, and sorting devices, ensuring continuous operation through basic troubleshooting of routine errors.
- Create and maintain documentation as requested.
- Manually fill prescriptions as needed.
- Verify attributes of the product such as: size, strength, quantity, etc. before processing orders. Enter or scan expiration date and lot numbers.
- Ensure labels on prescriptions are correct.
- Prepare packages, sort, and manifest prescription orders if needed.
- Stock and rotate merchandise and supplies to limit shrinkage if needed.
- Assist Inventory Technicians as requested. Participate in Inventory Audits as needed.
- Other duties as assigned concurrent with all applicable laws and regulations.
