About The Position
Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for their HUB Centralized Services team. This is a full-time position located at their Central Fill location (approx. 114th and Dodge) and potentially some shifts at the DOC Main campus in Omaha, NE. The HUB Pharmacy is a closed-door centralized services pharmacy. Responsibilities include prescription order entry, data entry, claims adjudication using McKesson EnterpriseRx software, and assisting pharmacists with triaging patient phone calls. Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on the job training.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand held calculator.
- Licensed Nebraska pharmacy intern or registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy.
- If registered as a Pharmacy Technician, certification within twelve months of registration date required.
Nice To Haves
- Work experience which demonstrates analytical ability, judgment, and interpersonal skills in pharmacy or healthcare.
- College coursework in pharmacy.
- Ability to type 20 wpm (with error correction).
Responsibilities
- Prepares and dispenses medication upon receiving prescription from prescribers.
- Processes all related duties under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Prescription order entry (data entry and claims adjudication through McKesson EnterpriseRx software).
- Working alongside pharmacists while triaging/assisting patient phone calls.
