About The Position

Welltopia Pharmacy is looking for a compassionate, organized, and dependable Pharmacy Technician to support our bubble pack patients and pharmacy team. This position is ideal for a true people person who enjoys getting to know patients, helping them stay organized, and making medication management easier. You will play an important role in coordinating bubble packs, maintaining accurate patient records, communicating with patients and healthcare providers, and supporting daily pharmacy operations. Strong computer skills are highly appreciated because the role involves prescription processing, documentation, electronic communication, and careful management of patient information. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with with technology, and able to provide warm, personalized service in a busy independent pharmacy.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare bubble packs accurately under the pharmacist’s supervision
  • Maintain bubble pack schedules and ensure prescriptions and refills are ready on time
  • Communicate with patients, caregivers, prescribers, and healthcare facilities to resolve missing prescriptions, refill needs, and medication changes
  • Receive written, electronic, and faxed prescriptions; review the information for completeness and enter it accurately into the pharmacy system
  • Keep patient profiles, medication lists, allergies, insurance information, and notes accurate and up to date
  • Help identify refill gaps, discontinued medications, duplicate prescriptions, or other concerns for pharmacist review
  • Contact patients before each bubble pack cycle to confirm medication changes and delivery or pickup arrangements
  • Process prescription payments and other pharmacy transactions
  • Answer telephone calls and provide friendly assistance, referring clinical questions to the pharmacist
  • Receive inventory, verify shipments, enter products into the system, and store medications properly
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and inventory logs
  • Support delivery coordination and other daily pharmacy operations as needed
  • Protect patient privacy and follow all pharmacy policies and applicable regulations
