About the Facility: Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed, The Joint Commission accredited, private behavioral health hospital located in Greenville, Texas. For nearly 30 years, Glen Oaks Hospital has been a leader in the field of mental health and chemical dependency care, and our staff is dedicated to researching the latest treatment approaches and applying this to our overall treatment philosophy. CPS Solutions-Optum has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions-Optum. Pharmacy Hours: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm, with limited morning hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Requirements

  • Registered, or the ability to become registered, as a pharmacy technician in the State of Texas
  • Pharmacy Technician license must be in good standing (Technician Trainees will not be considered)
  • National Certification through PTCB

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of hospital experience
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Word
  • Proven effective communications skills; verbal and written

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, delivering, and restocking medications to the various units/departments
  • Data / order entry
  • Obtaining the necessary medications to stock the Omnicell machines, including unit-dose packaging of bulk tablets and capsules
  • Performs routine checks for medication outdates
  • Maintains pharmacy cleanliness in accordance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Assist with additional pharmacy duties as needed
