Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical and SSM Health, is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician for their location in Lake St. Louis, MO. The hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with a wide range of complex medical conditions, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. The Pharmacy Technician will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, assisting in medication distribution and performing routine pharmacy duties.
Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician required based on state requirement.
Nice To Haves
- One to two year’s experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
Responsibilities
- Fills medication cassettes under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Prepares IV medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Prints out and fills label requests for First dose or Stat medications.
- Delivers supplies and medications to other departments as needed.
