About The Position

GEMCORE is seeking a highly motivated problem-solver to join GEM Edwards Pharmacy, a division of GEMCORE Health, as a Pharmacy Technician. This role is ideal for a Certified Pharmacy Technician looking for a unique pharmacy operation where they can utilize their experience and knowledge, impact patient quality of life, build lasting relationships, and contribute to the overall success of the pharmacy. The position offers growth opportunities with potential for advancement in a caring culture. The hours of operation are 8:15 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays required. The role involves extensive patient interaction, prescription processing, inventory management, and collaboration with various departments and compliance.

Requirements

State Certified Pharmacy Technician or imminent plans to become Certified within 6 months.
2 years pharmacy experience with 3rd party rejection resolution preferred.
Ability to work in a rapidly growing and fast paced environment
Must possess and demonstrate excellent telecommunication skills and superb customer service
Proficient word processing abilities as well as computer/system navigation
High School diploma or equivalent

Prior PioneerRx experience will be extremely beneficial

Responsibilities

Extensive patient enrollment and profile building to include in and out bound calls
Data entry of new and refill prescriptions
Filling of new and refill prescriptions
Maintain sufficient and accurate inventory
Resolve third party issues with payers and providers
Coordinate vast interdepartmental patient care and service
Participate and contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance improvement meetings
Assist Compliance Department to ensure pharmacy operations and personnel are following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
