Per Diem Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
Genoa Healthcare seeks a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support the functions of its mental health pharmacy. The role primarily involves dispensing medical prescriptions and performing clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. The technician works with a coordinated care team to help people with complex health conditions receive appropriate medications and follow their treatment plans. This is a per-diem, need-based position covering PTO, callouts, and other business needs. The pharmacy's regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The work location is 1742 Oregon St., Suite 144, Redding, CA 96001.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in California.
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid U.S. driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- Previous pharmacy technician experience.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff.
- Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
- Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
- Verify medication stock and enter data in the computer to maintain inventory records.
- Work with the Pharmacist on pharmacy functions and compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Perform clerical duties relating to the department.
- Communicate professionally using strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
