Pharmacy Technicians are crucial in delivering compassionate care, advising patients on prescriptions, and helping manage chronic and specialty conditions. They are expected to uphold the highest professional and ethical standards, ensuring full compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include managing pharmacy workstations, accurately filling prescriptions, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. New Pharmacy Technicians must complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all state-specific registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Upon completion, they can expand their duties and continue to build clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age
Licensure requirements vary by state
The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted (Attention and Focus)

Required to complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program
Satisfy all registration, licensing and certification requirements according to your State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
High School diploma or equivalent
