Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Indio, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while delivering caring, personalized service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment. After starting in the role, they must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties until requirements are completed. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, a Pharmacy Technician may pursue Technician Immunizer status and support vaccine preparation and administration, patient education and referrals, adverse-reaction response and reporting, patient-information documentation, and vaccine supply management. This part-time role is scheduled for 29 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $18.55 per hour. Benefits eligibility depends on hours worked and other eligibility requirements; benefits and programs may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, and certain voluntary benefits.
