About The Position
Under the direction of the Pharmacists, will provide assistance with medication preparation, medication distribution, packaging and filling, and inventory control. This position is designed to engage and interact with co-colleagues and customers, and to assist with the telephone calls and patients and staff picking up medications at the pharmacy window.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, and 1 year of pharmacy technician services experience
- Must be certified or certified eligible with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). A Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is preferred.
- Must have proficient computer and data entry experience.
- Act 33/34/73 Clearances
- Pre-employment drug screen
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Parata equipment is preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications
- Receive and process electronic prescription orders
- Package, label, and organize medications accurately
- Maintain patient profiles and prescription records in pharmacy systems
- Manage inventory, stock shelves, and monitor medication expiration dates
- Provide excellent customer service and answer basic medication-related questions under pharmacist supervision
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy laws, and safety standards
- Support pharmacists with administrative and operational duties as needed
