Pharmacy Technician, Per Diem
About The Position
Join us as a Pharmacy Technician! Weekends Saturday and Sunday 7:00 am - 12:00 pm. Weekdays as needed. The Pharmacy Technician prepares, packages, labels, and distributes medications under the supervision of the Pharmacist. Responsible for maintaining inventories of drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, and delivering medication to hospital units. Assists in the maintenance of relevant patient files within the Electronic Health Record. Complies with state and federal pharmacy regulations as well as hospital policies to ensure quality of pharmacy services. Successful Pharmacy Technicians will have the following:
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy is required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Health Record
Nice To Haves
- National certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) strongly preferred.
- Experience with automated dispensing machines (ex. Pyxis, Omnicell) strongly preferred.
