About The Position

MTM Pharmacy is hiring a full-time bilingual pharmacy technician who speaks Spanish and English or Vietnamese and English. The role requires multitasking and strong customer service, communication, dedication, honesty, hard work, and kindness toward patients. Pharmacy technicians greet and assist patients and healthcare providers, handle medication orders and prescriptions, maintain inventory and records, prepare and fill medications, and help ensure safe storage and availability of medications. Availability is needed Monday through Friday. Prior experience as a pharmacy clerk or pharmacy technician is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Fluency in Vietnamese or Spanish.
• Ability to communicate in English and either Vietnamese or Spanish.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Dedication, honesty, hard work, and kindness toward patients.
• Availability Monday through Friday.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a pharmacy clerk or pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Greet and communicate promptly with patients and healthcare providers in person and by phone.
• Check pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory levels and anticipate medication and supply needs.
• Place and expedite orders, verify receipts, and remove outdated drugs.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
• Follow infection-control policies and procedures to protect patients and employees.
• Read medication orders and prescriptions, prepare labels, and calculate quantities and days' supply.
• Fill medications and assemble intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
• Record and file physicians’ orders and prescriptions.
• Calculate, record, and issue charges.
• Deliver medications to patients and departments to ensure availability.
• Contribute to the team by completing related tasks as needed.
