Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Texas City, TX
•$17 - $25•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company Standard Operating Procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until these requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Technicians may deliver additional patient health services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, a Technician Immunizer completes additional licensing and training, educates patients about vaccines and refers vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, responds to and reports adverse reactions, documents relevant patient information, and monitors vaccine supplies.
