Job Summary: The Certified Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for receiving, verifying and ordering prescriptions. Coordinates all aspects of processing pharmaceuticals through identified vendor.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Must be able to pass a facility background check

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of pharmaceutical program.
  • Verifies delivered medications for accuracy utilizing the faxed Physician Order Sheet and the Pharmacy Packing List.
  • Inventories stock supplies and replenishes stock as necessary within the CPS pharmacy.
  • Removes out-of-date and stop-date medications.
  • Keeps accurate records as directed by the D.O.N.
  • Maintains current pharmaceutical library.
  • Maintains the pharmacy area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • It is an essential part of the job that CPS can ask the employee to work beyond his/her regularly scheduled hours.
  • Follow all security rules and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as required including medical records.
