About The Position

This is a temporary position located at 2211 Shieffelin Road in Wake County, assigned to the Department of Adult Corrections - Comprehensive Health. The Office of State Human Resources (OSHR) aims to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of its employees. This role offers exposure to an agency's culture, processes, and procedures, potentially providing valuable experience for those seeking permanent employment with the state. Three separate positions are available: one at 40 hours per week, one at 24 hours per week, and one at 33 hours per week. The hourly rate is $22.42, based on education and/or relevant work experience.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited nine-month Pharmacy Technician program; or High school diploma or General Educational Development diploma and one year of pharmacy-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some positions may require certification as a Pharmacy Technician.

Nice To Haves

  • Documented knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology and processing techniques.
  • Document knowledge of maintaining appropriate inventory and medications.

  • Refill, screen and process prescriptions.
