Pharmacy Technician PRN
About The Position
SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture between SSM Health and Select Medical, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a PRN position at their Richmond Heights, MO location. This role involves assisting pharmacists in providing medications to patients and performing routine duties within the hospital pharmacy. The hospital focuses on providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with a range of complex medical conditions, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician required based on state requirement.
Nice To Haves
- One to two year’s experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists pharmacist in providing medications to patients and performs routine duties in hospital pharmacy.
- Fills medication cassettes under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Prepares IV medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Prints out and fills label requests for First dose or Stat medications.
- Delivers supplies and medications to other departments as needed.
