About The Position

Pharmacy4Humanity, an AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) company, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician. AHF is the largest specialized provider of HIV/AIDS medical care in the nation, with a mission to provide cutting-edge medicine and advocacy regardless of ability to pay. The Pharmacy Technician will contribute to AHF by demonstrating the competencies of a Level I Technician as described in the AHF Pharmacy Policy, Procedure and Training manual. They will enhance AHF's reputation by being sensitive to the stigma of HIV and associated comorbidities, understanding barriers to care, and the importance of patient anonymity and privacy. The role requires passion for AHF's top initiatives and adherence to AHF's core values and mission. AHF operates in a dynamic environment with a collaborative organizational structure, and the Pharmacy Technician will work as part of a team to foster good working relationships with healthcare providers, staff, and referral sources to facilitate patient information exchange and medication treatment plans.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate the competencies of a Level I Technician as described in the Scope of Practice and Responsibilities found in the AHF Pharmacy Policy, Procedure and Training manual.
Enhance the reputation of AHF by being sensitive to the “stigma” of HIV and associated comorbidities, understanding the difficulty of treating chronic diseases, barriers to care, and the importance of patients’ needs to maintain anonymity and privacy.
Be a passionate advocate for AHF's top initiatives.
Ensure that the AHF core Values and Mission stay top of mind with all that you do.
Work as a part of a close knit team to establish and maintain good working relationships with healthcare providers, staff and referral sources to facilitate the exchange of patient demographics and medication treatment plans.
