About The Position
Trillium Health Partners is seeking Pharmacy Technicians for casual positions across multiple sites, including Credit Valley Hospital and Mississauga Hospital. This role offers hands-on training, opportunities for career growth, and involves delivering quality patient care and enhancing patient safety through accurate pharmaceutical product preparation and release. Responsibilities include working in a computerized automated Unit Dose setting, repackaging, and intravenous admixing, as well as teaching pharmacy students in collaboration with other technicians.
Requirements
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
- Sound working knowledge of computer applications, specifically EPIC and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle a variety of complex tasks and issues promptly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting conflicting deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in providing exceptional patient-centered care.
- Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team of professionals.
- Satisfactory performance and attendance required.
Nice To Haves
- Preceptor training with OCP is an asset.
- Membership with the Canadian Associate of Pharmacy Technicians (C.A.P.T) is an asset.
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy is preferred.
- Experience with Swisslog automation is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Receive hands-on training and work alongside dedicated professionals.
- Deliver quality patient care and excellent customer service.
- Enhance patient safety by ensuring the accuracy, quality, integrity, and timeliness of pharmaceutical product preparation and release.
- Perform duties as a Pharmacy Technician in a computerized automated Unit Dose setting, including repackaging and intravenous admixing.
- Collaborate with other Pharmacy Technicians to deliver appropriate teaching to pharmacy students.
