About The Position

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join the team. This role will be PRN – shift vary. Requirements

• High School or GED.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year Pharmacy Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies.
• Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits.
• Restocks assigned areas put away unused medications in addition to utilizing want book and associated inventory management procedures.
• Orders items, properly stocks shelves, processes returns and identifies vendor errors.
• Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose pick, first doses and floor stock.
• Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately.
