About The Position
Responsible for the preparation, storage, and distribution of medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Training as per State Board of Pharmacy requirements
- Knowledge of trade/generic drug names
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for the preparation of all types of IVs
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Sufficient typing skills for computer order entry
- General understanding of pharmacy computer applications
- Ability to use common reference material
- Ability to withstand stress of high activity area
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written skills) in order to communicate effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
- Pharmacy Technician License required
- BLS or ACLS required (ICH/QVH only)
- Annual 2 hours of stroke education required for those working at QVH
Nice To Haves
- Acute care experience preferred
