Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
• Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and safety standards
• Proficient in computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly

Responsibilities

• Receive and fill prescription requests for patients.
• Retrieve prescriptions orders.
• Count, pour, measure and weigh tablets and medications.
• Compound medications.
• Select the proper prescription container.
• Create prescription labels.
• Price and file prescriptions.
• Process third party claims.
• Maintain patient profiles.
• Complete cash register transactions.
• Answer phones.
• Take inventory of over-the-counter (OTC) medication.
• Be aware of the latest medicines and their availability.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy.
