About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They help ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, while providing caring service to patients and customers. Technicians follow standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflows, and best practices, and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. They contribute to a safe and inclusive culture and complete required company training and applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are met, duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager. Technicians may support additional patient health services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, a Technician Immunizer may complete additional training and licensure requirements, help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market as business needs require.
