As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in helping patients access the medications and care they need. You’ll work closely with pharmacists and healthcare providers in a high-volume pharmacy environment that fills approximately 800–1,200 prescriptions daily.

Requirements

  • Current WA State Pharmacy Technician certification
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Proficiency in third-party billing and dosage calculations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced pharmacy environment

Nice To Haves

  • Recent experience in a retail pharmacy is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists with prescription preparation and dispensing
  • Triage patients at the pharmacy window with professionalism and compassion
  • Process new and refill prescriptions (in person, phone, electronic, and fax)
  • Perform pharmaceutical calculations, labeling, counting, pouring, and mixing medications
  • Verify patient information, eligibility, and insurance
  • Troubleshoot third-party billing rejections and complete prior authorizations
  • Maintain pharmaceutical inventory, inspect for outdates, and restock as needed
  • Document stock movement, returns, and destructions
  • Support training of technical staff in billing, inventory control, and prescription production
  • Rotate through all pharmacy work areas to support team workflow
  • Participate in monthly pharmacy meetings and annual required trainings
  • Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
