About The Position
CompleteRx is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join its team at Moore County Hospital District, a 25-bed acute care facility in Dumas, Texas. The position is scheduled for 32 hours per week, Tuesday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a one-hour lunch. The pharmacy is closed evenings and weekends. The technician will help procure and distribute medications and supplies, prepare sterile products, and support patient care areas. On-the-job training is available to obtain IV certification.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current pharmacy technician license in the State of Texas.
- Current National Pharmacy Technician certification.
- Possess IV certification or be willing to obtain it within six months of hire; training is provided.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of pharmacy technician experience.
- Successful completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course.
Responsibilities
- Ensure procurement and distribution of drug orders.
- Accurately identify and fill replacement medications for emergency crash carts, OR carts, and floor stock.
- Accurately prepare sterile products, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition.
- Accurately deliver medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas.
- Rotate stock to ensure products are used before their expiration dates.
- Pick up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas during delivery rounds.
- Accurately enter charges and credits for patient medications.
- Identify and replace outdated and unusable drugs.
