Preparing prescription labels (verified by a pharmacist). Reconstituting medications (with pharmacist oversight). Precisely retrieving, counting, and packaging medications. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Obtain Pharmacy Assistant license in the state in which the employee works if available or necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent knowledge of drug names desired with the expectation of continuing education on new drugs.
