Pharmacy Technician Trainee
About The Position
Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking customer service-driven individuals with a passion for healthcare to join our Pharmacy Technician Trainee Program, set to begin September 28th, 2026! This 12-week training program in West Salem offers full pay ($16.50/hour) plus benefits. This in-house, accredited program provides the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to prepare for the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE). Your training will include hands-on learning at our Holmen, Onalaska, and La Crosse area pharmacies. Satisfactory completion of the trainee program, attaining certification, and successful WI registration as a Pharmacy Technician will allow movement up into a permanent Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) position with Gundersen with a wage of $19.05/hour!
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Completion of Math and English competency (at time of interview)
- Ability to work full-time (scheduled for 40 hours/week)
- Ability to work shifts including Day, PM and rotating weekend hours
- Ability to work at the following locations (rotating): West Salem, La Crosse, Holmen, and Onalaska.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to healthcare delivery in a position other than direct patient care.
- Work with patients and customers from a variety of backgrounds by providing superior customer service.
- Complete a 12-week training program.
- Gain knowledge and hands-on skills to prepare for the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE).
- Participate in hands-on learning at pharmacies in the Holmen, Onalaska, and La Crosse areas.
- Obtain WI registration as a Pharmacy Technician.
