About The Position
Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent with relevant experience
- Current Maryland Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB certification
- 5 years’ experience as a hospital pharmacy technician
- Active working knowledge of USP 795, USP 797, and USP 800.
- Knowledge of software: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Nice To Haves
- 1-year previous experience in a pharmacy leadership tech role preferred
- Previous experience with Cerner, Pyxis, Pharmogistics, Carousels, and MacroHelix preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, refine, develop, implement, and monitor workflow processes and improvement initiatives.
- Oversee timekeeping and payroll which includes scheduling staff, monitoring overtime, tardiness, and absences.
- Provide staff training and development.
- Responsible, in conjunction with pharmacy leadership for USP 795, 797, and 800 compliances.
- Create and evaluates competency assessments.
- Responsible for conflict resolution and corrective action when appropriate.
- Participate in the recruiting process. Interview pharmacy technician applicants and work with the pharmacy team to select best candidates.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Assist pharmacy leadership in designing the future direction of pharmacy services.
- Staff when necessary and performs other duties as assigned.
