Join the Pharmacy team at Intermountain Health Cancer Center at Saint Joseph Hospital and play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their cancer treatment journey. As a Pharmacy Technician Sterile Compounding, you'll provide specialized support for our growing Cancer and Infusion Center, helping ensure patients receive life-saving therapies safely, accurately, and with compassion. Working alongside pharmacists, nurses, providers, and other caregivers, you'll contribute to the timely preparation and delivery of sterile compounded medications that directly impact the patient experience and support exceptional oncology care. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialized expertise in sterile compounding, hazardous drug handling, infusion pharmacy operations, inventory management, procurement, purchasing, and regulatory compliance within a rapidly growing oncology infusion practice. Technicians in this role prepare sterile compounded medications in a USP <797> and USP <800> compliant environment and may handle hazardous medications used in cancer treatment. Appropriate PPE, engineering controls, and comprehensive training are provided to support safe handling practices and compliance with safety standards. Prior sterile compounding experience is preferred but not required. We welcome pharmacy technicians with a strong foundation in pharmacy practice and a desire to expand their skills in sterile compounding, hazardous drug handling, and oncology pharmacy services. Through involvement in medication assistance activities, procurement processes, workflow improvement projects, and pharmacy operations, you'll gain valuable exposure to the broader functions of a specialized oncology infusion pharmacy while working alongside highly skilled pharmacists and clinicians. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with dependable teammates, and are passionate about making a meaningful impact on patients' lives, you'll find purpose and belonging here. Together, we're helping people live the healthiest lives possible, one patient at a time.
