About The Position

CALRegional is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Pharmacy Technician Skills Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for medical professionals looking to supplement their income while making a significant impact on aspiring healthcare professionals. The Pharmacy Technician Programs run for 3-12 weeks. The position is located in Oakland, CA, with a schedule of Monday & Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. No teaching experience is required.

Requirements

Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
Efficient with computers and technology.
Organized and detail oriented.
Must understand all Pharmacy related medical math concepts and be able to teach them to class.

Nice To Haves

1 year experience in the Pharmacy field.
Teaching and/or supervisory experience desirable.
Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.

Responsibilities

Assists students with the skills associated with the scope of practice for their designated subject.
Assist lead instructor to evaluate, report and record student performance and progress.
Assist lead instructor with all required skill labs, grading class assignments, and exams.
Prepares students to go on to an externship.
Assists students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
Provides a professional role model for students.
Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
