About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician, Order Fulfillment plays a key role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities. This includes developing close relationships with patients in communities we serve and assisting the pharmacists in accurately preparing and delivering prescription medication.

Requirements

High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
1-2 years of experience in mail order or retail pharmacy setting as a Pharmacy Technician, preferred
Active Ohio Registration, in good standing
Registered or Certified Pharmacy Technician
Strong customer service skills
Strong typing and data entry skills
Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area.
Maintains appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution.
Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
Adheres to all quality guidelines.
Works under moderate degree of supervision.
Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor.
Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.

Responsibilities

Assist the Pharmacist in filling prescription orders, as permitted by the State Boards of Pharmacy, including picking, packing, and shipping.
Perform a combination of manual and/or automated tasks necessary for the receipt and storage of products.
Input patient data and prescription information into pharmacy information management system.
Data Entry of prescriptions in pharmacy system.
Maintain knowledge of and abide by applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
