About The Position
CALRegional is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Pharmacy Technician Lead Instructor to join their team. This role is ideal for medical professionals looking to supplement their income while making a significant impact on aspiring healthcare professionals. The instructor will be responsible for teaching all aspects of the Pharmacy Technician field, preparing students for a 120-hour externship, and fostering an understanding of values appropriate to the healthcare profession. No prior teaching experience is required, but a passion for healthcare education and a strong understanding of pharmacy-related medical math are essential.
Requirements
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
- 3 years of experience in the Pharmacy field.
- Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
- Efficient with computers and technology.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Must understand all Pharmacy related medical math concepts and be able to teach them to class.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching and/or supervisory experience desirable.
Responsibilities
- Instructing students in all aspects of the Pharmacy Technician Field.
- Reporting and recording student performance and progress.
- Preparing students in 182 hours of class time, to go on to a 120-hour externship in a retail or hospital Pharmacy.
- Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideas appropriate to the health care profession.
- Providing a professional role model for students.
