About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Registered IV Admix Pharmacy Technician to join their team at Baptist Medical Center Clay. This is a full-time position with various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. The ideal candidate must have pharmacy-based hospital experience, with at least 6 months of experience specifically within an IV Room. The role involves preparing compounded sterile medications using aseptic techniques, refilling automated dispensing cabinets, and assisting in the central pharmacy. The candidate must be licensed and registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida.
Requirements
- Pharmacy-based hospital experience
- At least 6 months of experience within an IV Room
- Licensed and registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida
- 1-2 years Pharmacy Technician Experience
- High School Diploma Required
- Registered Pharmacy Tech (RPT) with Florida Board of Pharmacy Required
Nice To Haves
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) Preferred
Responsibilities
- Preparing compounded sterile medications using aseptic techniques within an IV Room
- Refilling automated dispensing cabinets
- Assisting in the central pharmacy
- Assisting the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications
- Maintaining the drug inventory
- Maintaining patient records
- Maintaining compliance with USP 797 standards in their daily duties for IV admixture and TPN preparation
