ND Pharmacy Technician in Training
About The Position
Thrifty White Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician-in-Training in Dickinson, ND to start and grow their pharmacy career. Completion of Thrifty White Pharmacy's Training Program (ASHP/ACPE Accredited) is required, along with all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to the North Dakota Board of Pharmacy. Candidates must be willing to commit to completing the program within the timeline provided. Candidates will be working as a floating technician and will be scheduled at both Thrifty White locations in Dickinson routinely. Occasionally, travel to Bismarck/Mandan and Hettinger may be required to assist Thrifty White Pharmacy locations in those towns.
Requirements
- Completion of Thrifty White Pharmacy's Training Program (ASHP/ACPE Accredited)
- All registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to the North Dakota Board of Pharmacy
- Willingness to commit to completing the program within the timeline provided
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Currently be or willing to become a certified pharmacy technician per North Dakota state requirements
Nice To Haves
- Willing to travel to Bismarck/Mandan and Hettinger to assist Thrifty White Pharmacy locations in those towns.
Responsibilities
- Providing excellent customer service to customers by building loyalty and repeat business.
- Champions Thrifty White programs to patients such as Ready Refill, Medication Synchronization and HealthyPackRx and assists with enrolling patients.
- Maintains prescription information to ensure accurate records.
- Understands and follows Medicare Part B requirements.
- Troubleshoots any rejected claims or billing issues.
- Assists customers with Medicare Part D questions.
- Maintains proper level of nursing home filling procedures.
- Able to learn and implement new and changing technologies on an ongoing basis.
- Able to maintain flexibility in new or changing work roles and the modification of job responsibilities as required.
- Willing to help anywhere in the store or nearby locations as needed.
- Good attendance and punctuality is required in order to fulfill the essential job functions.
