Pharmacy Technician II
About The Position
Accurately and safely performs technical functions related to medication preparation, dispensing, billing, and inventory management. These activities do not require clinical or professional judgment and are performed under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations, accrediting agency requirements, hospital policies, and pharmacy practice standards. The role requires prioritizing and managing multiple work functions, communicating effectively and courteously with patients and health care providers, and ensuring reliable and timely medication delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registration with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required.
- Must complete all required hospital continuing education programs.
- Prior experience may be considered in addition to educational background.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician certificate or degree program.
- Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
