About The Position

Trinity Health Pharmacy has a staff of more than 100 technicians and pharmacists waiting to help you with any medication or health-related question. We also have a wide variety of over-the-counter products and personal care items. Our pharmacy accepts most major prescription plans, and we offer an automated phone service to make refilling your prescription easy and fast. We’re here to help you with any health-related questions about prescriptions and over-the-counter medications. Knowledgeable, helpful staff, Certified immunization providers, Computerized prescription records and drug interaction checks, Automated phone prescription refill service, Accept most major prescription plans.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Fully licensed as a pharmacy technician in the State of Michigan. Currently employed Pharmacy Technicians at Trinity Health may also satisfy this requirement with a Limited Pharmacy Technician Licensure.
• One year of pharmacy work experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good math skills (multiplication, division, addition, subtraction) in calculations involving fractions, decimals, percentages and volumes.
• Good communication skills.
• Familiarity with standard desktop and windows based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation.
• Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of formal pharmacy technician training program.
• National Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Registered Pharmacist, assists Pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.
• Provides courteous, cooperative, and timely service to patients, visitors and staff.
