Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current California Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Certification by a National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) required within 6 months of hire.
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in current practice environment or in sterile compounding and 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in any practice setting.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years' experience in relevant practice area is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Working under the supervision of registered pharmacists.
  • Assisting with mentoring pharmacy technician I as assigned.
  • Performing more advanced pharmacy technician duties that may include billing and/or IV Clean Room responsibilities based on site specific needs.
  • May assist pharmacy management with administrative support duties.
