About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician II Certified works under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and assists with pharmacy operations at Freeman Springdale Hospital. The role supports preparation and distribution of medication doses, maintenance of drug inventories, and completion of patient records related to drug therapy. The position is PRN (as needed) and may occasionally involve irregular hours.

Requirements

Current national certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Exam for Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
Registration with valid licensure as a Pharmacy Technician with the Arkansas Board of Pharmacy, or a current Missouri Pharmacy Intern License.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS in Pharmacy) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparation and distribution of medication doses.
Maintain drug inventories, including stocking automated dispensing cabinets, packaging drugs, extemporaneous compounding, and restocking code carts.
Complete patient records related to drug therapy, including aminoglycoside protocol orders and drug charges and credits.
