Pharmacy Technician I, Inpatient
About The Position
Lakeview Hospital is hiring a Pharmacy Technician I to support inpatient pharmacy services. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the technician performs activities involved in preparing and dispensing medications and completes pharmacy functions that do not require a licensed pharmacist, allowing pharmacists more time for clinical activities. The position requires Minnesota Pharmacy Technician Registration at hire or start and certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or ExCPT) within one year of hire or start. The technician must follow State Board of Pharmacy guidelines and requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minnesota Pharmacy Technician Registration (PTR) required at hire or start date.
- CPhT or ExCPT certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required within one year of hire or start date.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must follow State Board of Pharmacy guidelines and requirements for Pharmacy Technicians.
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of pharmacy technician experience.
