About The Position

This entry-level position focuses on dispensing prescriptions to patients, operating the cash register and point-of-sale system, and supporting pharmacy production. Production tasks include preparing labels, counting medication, entering insurance information, and entering initial prescription information. Employees may perform other duties as assigned under the supervision of an advanced technician or pharmacist. The role also helps maintain a neat and clean dispensing area and may include training new employees, attending department meetings, participating in department projects, and performing advanced technician tasks as department needs determine.

The position is with UHS Pharmacy in Johnson City and has a rotational shift. It is scheduled for 40 hours per week. Compensation is $17.98–$25.17 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions to patients.
