About The Position

You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as a clinical professional on our Medical Management/Health Services team. This is an in-person role with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. There are no weekend or holiday requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e. biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification) experience.
Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses.

Nice To Haves

Current state’s Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
Current Missouri Pharmacy Technician license OR the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner.
Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis
Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist
Perform prescription data entry functions (preQA) by viewing images and inputting prescription information directly into the system
Prepare and submit request for prescription refills
Initiate clarification requests
Receive verbal instructions from prescribers as allowed by pharmacy regulation
Complete reorder processing for the timely filling of prescription refills
Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements, and company policies
Complete work list according to guidelines set by Manager
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
