About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician I, Inpatient position at Evanston Hospital is a Per Diem role, meaning it is on an as-needed basis. This role involves assisting the Pharmacist with various tasks related to medication preparation, filling, and dispensing. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining patient records, setting up, packaging, and labeling medication doses, and managing the inventory of drug supplies. The position operates on rotating shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and rotating holidays.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must become certified by successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination or another Board-approved pharmacy technician examination, within 2 years of initial licensure.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
• Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred
• Retail experience preferred for retail positions
