About The Position

Join our Pharmacy Technician team! We are currently recruiting for Pharmacy Technicians in the following areas: Acute Care, Outpatient, Cancer Care, Home Infusion and Purchasing. There is also a questionnaire attached to the application where candidates can rank area(s) of preference. If selected, our Talent Acquisition team will connect with candidates to discuss our different openings available. Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Requirements

  • No previous experience required
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Kansas locations: CPhT required by first board renewal.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Missouri locations: none
  • Pharmacy Technician Registration - State Board of Pharmacy Kansas and/or Missouri - per work state upon Hire
  • Technician must maintain certification on an ongoing basis and complete all continuing education requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR equivalent National Pharmacy Technician Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares medications for dispensing: Independently fills prescriptions with accuracy.
  • Distributes medications and stock items: Independently dispenses prescriptions with accuracy.
  • Maintains Pharmacy Inventory: Independently restocks shelves and automation with accuracy. Checks for expired or missing products and reports discrepancies to leader.
  • Operates pharmacy computer systems: Independently enters prescription data and patient information into pharmacy systems with accuracy.
  • Compliance and recordkeeping: Follows standard procedures for labeling, documentation, and handling of medications.
  • Patient Care: Provides courteous, professional service when assisting patients, caregivers, and staff. Directs medication related or clinical questions to a pharmacist.
  • Medication Safety: Practices medication safety basics such as barcode scanning and double-checking labels; promptly reports discrepancies to pharmacists or leaders.
