Pharmacy Technician I
About The Position
This is an entry-level Pharmacy Technician position in the UHS Pharmacy at Johnson City. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the technician functions as a generalist, supporting efficient pharmacy department operations by assisting with the processing of medications or prescriptions for patients and appropriate patient care areas. The role also helps maintain a neat and clean dispensing area and performs tasks needed for the pharmacy department’s daily routine. This is a per diem position, with work performed on an as-needed, agreed-upon basis. Working hours are assigned by the manager. Compensation is $17.98–$25.17 per hour, depending on experience. The position is not eligible for benefits.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain Pharmacy Technician Board (PTCB) certification within eighteen months of employment.

- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Successful completion of a pharmacy technician training program.
