About The Position

To assist the pharmacist in pharmaceutical preparation, distribution, and record keeping functions of pharmaceutical supplies and perform a variety of technical pharmacy services in the Department, designated satellites, and service and patient care areas.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Must possess or be eligible for pharmacy technician registration.
Pharmacy technician certification required.
Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods.
Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff.
Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
Ability to set priorities and solve problems.
Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests.
Effective communication skills (orally and in writing).

Nice To Haves

College courses preferred.
Two to three years pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist in pharmaceutical preparation, distribution, and record keeping functions of pharmaceutical supplies.
Perform a variety of technical pharmacy services in the Department, designated satellites, and service and patient care areas.
Assist in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
