Pharmacy Technician - Floater
About The Position
As a full time, Pharmacy Technician Floater at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Ca, you will be responsible for the preparation, distribution and control of sterile and non-sterile oral and injectable medications, including specialty medications, and participation in departmental programs. All duties are performed independently by the technician under the supervision of a pharmacist. Floater technicians are cross trained to cover various inpatient and outpatient CSMC areas, support our patients' medication management needs. Our technicians do rotating shifts (day/afternoons) and rotating weekends.
Requirements
- High school Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
- Ability to do calculations involving ratios, proportions and percentages.
- Adequate computer skills as necessary to complete assigned projects and tasks
- Proficiency in the operation of specialized equipment is necessary for assignment to specialized areas, i.e. OR/ER, Sterile Manufacturing, ACP, Storeroom, etc.
